That is my resolution; to simply be alive. For that is something that I have never truly been before. Sure, I’ve been breathing and functioning and doing everything that one would class as ‘living’ but I’ve never been alive. Not really.

All up and down my legs.
They sleep in my skin
And hide my sin,

They ignite my body
And set it ablaze.
They turn all of my pain

The ones with the three inch gap between their thighs and the stick thin legs.
One of those teenagers
Who you see in the street with their arms all sliced up.
One of those children
Who don't have to count everything.
One of those kids
Who have a boyfriend and are never alone.
One of those students
Who has loads of friends.
One of those people
Who can be just 'Fine'.

But I want to be Normal.

I want to be able to eat.
I want to be able to not cut.
I want to be able to just relax.
I want to be able to not be alone.
I want to be able to make friends.
I want to be just fine.

I'd rather be aloneI enter the room all eyes on me.

Side way glances as if I don't see.

I walk down the aisle and I take my seat.

This is where I'm gonna be for five days this week.

I can feel their hate from across the hall.

Those people they hate me and wish I would fall.

Unwanted is what they have always shown.

And honestly, I would rather be alone.

They tease me with their words as if it don't hurt.

They treat me as if I'm disgusting and dirt.

And sometimes I would just let it slide.

I would try to contain the feelings I hide.

I try to do my best but I really just fail.

And spectators would make up a new winding tale,

Of how my bad attitude is

Her laugh wasn't wooden and fake, but true and full of fun.
