People think I’m lonely,
People think I’m sad.
I’ve been called lowly,
I’ve been called mad.

There are worse things
I could be than quiet,
There are more harmful
Things I could do,
Just because I’m different,
Doesn’t mean I’m not right too.

Books are my buddies,
My four walls are my friends.
Green Day are my preachers,
AC/DC are my teachers,
Dancing out of my speakers.

I talk with my pen
And I sing from the soul,
Sometimes it’s diamond bright,
Others, it’s black as coal.

Summer is here,
I can feel it
Sweating into my pores,
And whilst some might go for beaches,
I go for so-called bores.

So when you see someone,
Nose in a book,
With a faraway look,
Don’t pity them;
For they are in their own kind of sunshine.
I haven't attempted poetry in months, so I apologise for the appalling quality of this.

I personally read sitting on a tree branch near my house because it' summer, I stay outdoors. It's a great thing to have forests and mountains near your grandmother's house. I basically disagree with staying indoors when you have how to stay in the nature but I think everyone is free to do everything with their spare time as long as this doesn't harm the others and the respective person assumes consequences.

I pity the ones spending their summer reading between 4 walls because I really think that if all the  people in your group are doing something, they might have some reason you might want to consider. WHen you don't spend enough time with your group you risk to lose the place you struggled getting in the hierarchy. This is the consequence of not staying outdors in summer. Believe me, it happened  once and since then I return from my holidays with the most fascinating stories and darkest skin colour. No offense, please.

Dude (or dudette.) you should keep on trying to relate to people since you'll attract them to the most troubling period of their lives.

I am absolutely in love with this.  This is me in a nutshell.  I love spending summer reading books because I just don't have time to do that during the school year.

I have to admit, this kind of reminded me of a My Chemical Romance song.  The beginning was a bit MCR heavy for me.  I'm not sure if it's because it's called "Summertime", the fact that I've been missing them a lot lately, or simply because I have "Fake Your Death" on repeat at the moment, but whatever it is, I'm loving it.  It gives me a sort of fuzzy feeling that only the lads can give me.  Well done on that.

This is far from "appalling quality"!  This is beautiful!  I've missed your poetry, and it is wonderful to see you post again.
