We will all be sick of it before it even begins! Constantly ramming it down our throats until we choke on all this enforced 'unity' in sport. Can't you tell I plan on not watching a single even ;-)

Try living under two hours away from the Olympic site; I never hear the end of it. It's all the teachers ever talk about in school and it's driving me insane! Well, more insane than I was already.

Insanity's good but not the annoyed kind. That just makes you want to punch someone. And you have to admit, its kind of cool being two hours away. The last exciting thing that happened in my hometown was a serial arsonist. That wasn't fun. He burnt down a house on a street that was literally fifteen or twenty yards from ours. Oh, and we had a tornado warning a few years ago the day before graduation. That was pretty freaky too. I grabbed my cousin and sat both of us down in my bathtub with our dogs. We NEVER have stuff like that happen here.

I guess the Olympics isn't so bad.

It must have been terrifying, having a tornado warning. Do you get them a lot where you are?

Never. We only ever flood here. We got a pretty bad one this year, actually. It killed an eighteen year old and her baby. I threw my phone at the wall when I found out. Then I sat on my bathroom floor and cried for half an hour before school. They found the baby at about 3 AM. They found the mother at 12 PM. She was an alumni from our cross-town rival school. I didn't know her but it was really upsetting. She'd graduated in 2011.
